LAND OFF FROLESWORTH ROAD, BROUGHTON ASTLEY

A Community-Focused Extension to Broughton Astley

Thank you for visiting IM Land’s consultation website and taking the time to learn about the emerging proposals for our site known as ‘Land off Frolesworth Road’ in Broughton Astley. IM Land is currently preparing an Outline planning application for submission to Harborough District Council.

UPDATE

Archaeological Works on Site

Trenching works for a programme of archaeological survey works will be taking place on site.

This initial stage of investigation has been scoped and agreed with Leicestershire County Council and will support our future planning application.

The works involve digging a number of temporary trenches to assess potential archaeological features on the site.

Works are expected to begin from 23 March 2026 and will last no more than 2-3 weeks.

What you should know:

  • These are temporary survey works only
  • Activity will be limited to specialist teams working within the site
  • All works will be carried out safely and responsibly
  • The Public Rights of Way will be unaffected and remain open throughout the duration of works
  • The results of the archaeological trenching will be captured within a report and submitted to Harborough District Council alongside wider planning application documents, which are available to the public to review.

We will continue to keep the community updated as the project progresses. If you need to get in touch, please use the details available on the ‘contact us’ page.
